When studying at SaddleBack I was fortunate enough to meet a couple individuals in a writing class that I clicked well with. We decided to start meeting outside of class for more in-depth critiquing of our work. It not only became a weekly occurrence, but we founded a writer's group we called TWiG where we supported and encouraged each other in our pursuits of getting published. All of us not only became better writers but we became each other's editors as well.
We started the group in 2001 and have been going strong ever since. Some members have come and gone but the core three: Catherine, Megan, and myself, continue to not only remain friends but also support each other. Catherine has since become a published author and I moved on to Cal Poly and now on to pursuing a career in publishing. But the group is still active and I still write and critique whenever I get the chance.
